Nick Fyhrie (pronounced Fury) is a Los Angeles-based  visual artist who graduated with a MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York and a BFA from UCLA in addition to completing artist residencies in New York and Paris. His practice is rooted in the tradition of painting where he employs a unique gestural style that combines natural, surreal, psychological, and urban elements based on everyday observations and imagined narratives.


Nick has contributed to many charities including United Way, Visual AIDS, DebRA of America, The Weill Cornell Community Clinic, Art Love Japan, and Room to Read. His works are in several national private collections. You can also find him currently leading tours as a volunteer docent for the general public at the J. Paul Getty Museum, Getty Center in Los Angeles and as an Educator for school groups at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena.
